Reference 2: Simon Thompson

Simon joined the RHI group IT Department when it was formed at the end of 1997. When we started our major project to create a unified IT Infrastructure for all our European sites, we chose Simon as a project manager. He took the main project to implement Windows NT servers and clients from preliminary examination stage through to implementation. The NT project is regarded as being a major success and the way in which it was carried out increased the standing of the IT department in the group generally.

In 1999 Simon reduced his involvement in Europe to be involved in the SAP project on his own site and on numerous local projects. In addition to his work here in Europe, he supported his local site.

Simon is a quick learner, grasping new concepts and applying them practically. He led the international project team effectively and his outstanding analytical ability helped the team to produce a system that met our requirements with very few compromises. Simon is a good presenter and he was able to introduce the concepts of our new system to the rest of our IT department very effectively.

I am pleased that the RHI group will still be able to call on Simon’s services in future and I am sure that he will be successful in his new venture.
